Norge på tvers is a unique expedition experience covering 120 kilometres over 7 days through the Sylan mountain area. The route follows the Norwegian Trekking Association’s marked trails along the 63rd parallel, with overnight stays in staffed and self-service DNT cabins. This map covers the entire route from the fjord in Stjørdal to the Swedish border in Tydal, with map views on both the front and back.
One of the highlights of the journey is the impressive Sylmassivet mountain range in eastern Trøndelag. The highest peak, Storsylen (1,762 m), is located just on the Norwegian side of the Swedish border.
The Norge på tvers map is published by Calazo in collaboration with Trondhjems Turistforening and Nord-Trøndelag Turistforening. It is part of a modern map series where terrain information is based on airborne laser scanning.
The map is printed on Tyvek, a synthetic fibre material that makes it waterproof, highly tear-resistant and lightweight.
